Stewardship - The Importance of Investing in Youth

An important element of stewardship is in the investments we make in our youth. Given the obvious understanding that they represent our future, we should spare no effort to empower them as much as possible. There are some youth, however, that experience difficulty and challenge as they grow and they end up falling between the cracks, left to fend for themselves in a complex world that doesn't recognize its role in how every child is formed.

The diagram below illustrates the core foundational elements that go into how a child evolves. Understanding these principles is essential to helping create a better result. Layering extra education or training on a broken foundation creates more frustration for youth and adult alike and therefore, getting back to understanding the root causes for the behavior are critical to providing solutions.
